At Bamuk, we offer classes in singing, music, dance, drama, and visual arts for children and adults of all ages. Our classes are extracurricular activities and are therefore not part of the Danish public school curriculum.

Registration & withdrawal

When you register, you will initially be placed on a waiting list. Your registration only becomes financially binding once you have received confirmation from us. This confirmation email will also include practical information about the start of your classes.

Please note that some classes may have long waiting lists.

You may withdraw from your registered activities at any time by sending an email to musikskolen@balk.dk.

Please note that withdrawal requests sent directly to your teacher are not valid.

Registration remains financially binding for the current month plus the following two months, calculated from the date we receive your withdrawal.

Fees and payment

A full season at Bamuk comprises of 36 weekly lessons (excluding school holidays) and runs from August to June in the following year.

Tuition fees are divided equally into 10 monthly instalments, with payment made one month at a time (e.g. 1st October – 31st October). The first instalment covers the period from 15th August to 30th September.

Payments are invoiced monthly in arrears through Denmark's Digital Post system (E-boks or borger.dk). If you don’t have access to E-boks/borger.dk, the invoice will be sent to your home address by post.

The tuition fee depends on the chosen course.

Individual lessons (20 minutes): 500 DKK/month
Individual lessons (25 minutes): 608 DKK/month
Music groups: 228 DKK/month
Visual Arts School: 228 DKK/month
Dance: 296 DKK/month
Mini Drama: 296 DKK/month
Drama: 349 DKK/month

Individual lessons (25 minutes): 1041 DKK/month
Dance: 415 DKK/month

72 DKK/month

Multiple Subject Discount

If a student is enrolled in more than one subject, the full fee is charged for the most expensive subject, while each additional subject is charged at **50% of the regular fee**.

Sibling Discount

If two or more siblings are enrolled in music classes, they may qualify for a Sibling Discount, where the least expensive subject is charged at 50% of the regular fee.

The Sibling Discount is only applied if the **same person is registered as the payer** for both children. Please make sure the payer information is correct if you wish to receive the discount.

Please note: The following subjects are not included in the discount scheme: Dance, Dance Talent, Drama, MiniDrama, Visual Arts School

Reduced Tuition Fees

Families and students with an annual household income below **DKK 240,601** may apply for reduced tuition fees.

Applications for reduced tuition fees must be submitted at the time of registration.

Time and Location

We offer classes at schools throughout Ballerup Municipality as well as at our main base in the music school at Gl. Rådhusvej 13 (which is a 5-minute walk from Ballerup Station).

Whenever possible, we offer individual lessons at local schools for students from school start to 4th grade (6-10 years).

However, this cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on each teacher's schedule.

The time for individual lessons is arranged directly with your teacher.

Becoming Part of Our Community

When you join Bamuk, you also become part of a large and creative community. Throughout the season, we organize concerts and a wide range of activities that you are welcome to participate in.

If you take individual lessons, you will also have opportunities to play music with other students in small ensembles. Your teacher will be happy to tell you more about the different options available.
